Review: ISH Ionic Rescue One Minute Treatment

April 13th, 2012

Recently, I’ve been in a hair rut.  After having layered, colored brown hair for about the last 4 years of my life, I decided that it was finally time for a change. So, one night I just decided on my own to chop off my long, relatively healthy locks and embarked down a long dark tunnel only to find myself … blonde. Considering that I naturally have black hair, you can only imagine what pains it took for me to achieve the yellow locks that I’ve often dreamed about. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t the trendy, in style hair that one can find in the pages of Allure-oh no, at the end of the tunnel I was left with wild, frizzy hair that could only be tamed with the use of a flat iron. Needless to say I was disappointed to say the least. I also underestimated the amount of work it took to repair, style, and upkeep the blonde color. Eventually, after 4 months or so of the color, I realized that I was sick of it. So, I went and dyed it back to black. Thankfully, it looked a lot better after, however, it only masked the problem. I asked around and a friend suggested that I use ISH Rescue Ionic One Minute Treatment to fix the damage.

At first, I thought it was a deep conditioning treatment that was meant to be rinsed off, but after reading the directions it turns out that it’s actually more of like a styling cream that’s applied on damp hair before styling. It can be used with (for better penetration) or without heat. The formula is nice and creamy, with a hint of fragrance. I tried it with heat for the first time (make sure you only use a small amount, trust me a little goes a long way) and –wow! It made a HUGE difference. My hair looked a lot healthier, more manageable, shiny-almost like I just came out from a high end salon. Needless to say, ISH has definitely won me over with this wonderful product. I can’t wait to try out more of their line! :)
